About

“We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate.” -Pico Iyer

My name is Jacquline (Jackie) Garcia and I have been blogging through my personal blog for only 4 months, but I hope to grow as a writer and blogger through each post. My personal blog page focuses on my experiences while on an exchange program in Melbourne, Australia. This blog page will be about the country I aspire to travel to: Bali, Indonesia. Along with that, I hope to discuss some budget friendly activities to do while visiting here.

It’s no secret that mostly everyone’s dream is to travel somewhere. For me, travelling seems to be an addiction. My first time actually travelling out of the country was to Australia, where I am today. Now, I am constantly thinking about where I want to travel to next! Getting to know a countries culture first-hand is an amazing experience that everyone should do. I hope to gain independence and find my “true self” through travelling.

Bali is an island in Indonesia known as the Island of the Gods. However, what is the first word that pops into your head when you hear the word: Bali? Mine is “paradise.” There are a great selection of beaches to explore and things you can do to free your mind. It is inexpensive country and many people want to travel to this country for this reason (along with others). Although it can be overwhelming visiting a place where you’ve never been before, it is important to do your research on their culture and things to do before arriving. I hope my research and a breakdown of budget friendly activities and attractions helps my readers before travelling to Bali!

You can go on a Yoga retreat in Bali, which is very calm, peaceful, and inexpensive.
